The Hole In One Guy
I'll never be on the PGA Tour or even a Club Champion, but I am setting out to defy the odds (1 in almost 13,000) and get a hole-in-one! I'll be trying every day until it happens. Enjoy the journey, recorded below.

Day 927, a second straight day enjoying the Waldorf Astoria Gol Club. This beautifully manicured course meanders through a nature preserve and I can’t recommend it enough. I’m happy the pin is not 4 paces from the slope to the water like it was yesterday, when I was lucky the ball hung up in the rough. Today the pin is center and I’m a little right with an 8 iron.

Day 926 @ Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. A 9 iron is pin high but right by about 12 feet.

6 iron is pulled, just over the left bunker. Tomorrow we continue the Disney Resort area tour, with a round at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club.

Day 924 @ Disney. This is 8 iron that almost goes in on the fly! After hitting the pin a couple of inches above the cup, it bounces down off the lip to about 6 feet. No hole in one but I make the birdie.

Day 923 @ Winter Park Country Club. Once again that darn tree that protects the right half of the green knocks down this 6 iron.

Didn’t get this 6 iron square at impact. It’s the right bunker on Day 922.

Day 921, a 5 iron into the wind. This is a pretty draw to a couple of feet left of the pin for a tap in birdie.

A 6 iron on Day 920 catches some dirt with the ball instead of ball then divot. Result: front edge of the green.

We left the Player’s Championship early to make my attempt and because it’s a 2 hour drive back to Orlando. This is not an island green but I’m safely on for Day 919.

This is why everyone loves The Player’s Championship, the infamous #17 island green. We’re right behind the tee box!

Day 918. A quick try on the way to TPC Sawgrass. A little short.

We’re headed to TPC Sawgrass tomorrow. No island green here. That’s good because this one rolls off the sloped green but only to the first cut of rough on Day 917.

Over the water on Day 916. It’s a 7 iron, pin high on the left edge of the green.

Day 915, a little chunky and thus, a little short.

I’m back to try this hole again on Day 914. I was close yesterday and a couple of feet closer today. Progress?
